A brand new Ted book is now published! 🎉
A Year in the Lake District is a gentle journey through the seasons, exploring how the Lakes transform across the year. From fresh spring mornings and buzzing summer days, to golden autumn paths and crisp winter air, this book captures the beauty of Cumbria in a simple, calm and magical way.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Ted story without Ted himself leading the way.
Along the journey, he’s doing what he does best…
sniffing at squirrels, listening out for robins, and taking in all the little details that make the Lake District so special.
My author copies arrived today, and honestly… I’m so proud of this one.
There’s something really special about holding a book you’ve created in your hands.
All those ideas, notes, edits and late-night tweaks suddenly become something real.
I’ve also taken a bit of a leap with this book.
I’ve reached out to a few local independent bookshops to see if they might be interested in stocking Ted’s adventures. It feels like a big step, putting something so personal out there, but also a really exciting one.
There’s something quite lovely about the idea of Ted sitting on a shelf in a Lake District bookshop, waiting to be discovered.
So for now… fingers crossed 🤞
This feels like just the beginning for this book.
Whether it finds its way into local shops, onto bedside tables, or into little hands ready for storytime, I hope it brings a small piece of the Lake District into people’s homes.
And as always… Ted is already ready for his next adventure.
